Our youth department offers our younger members a unique opportunity to participate in a small, welcoming congregation whose youth leaders are also their neighbors, babysitters and friends.  Our children are divided into age-based groups, in which they engage in age-appropriate tefilla, learning and games in a dedicated space for each group.

We encourage our children to spend time in the main sanctuary from an early age. Accordingly, we run a monthly program in which our children in grades three to five are invited by Rabbi Helfgot to answer parsha-related questions in shul and present divrei Torah to the congregation.  Rabbi Helfgot also joins our youth groups on a regular basis to share his thoughts about the weekly parsha.

Our youth department is led by our experienced youth director, Mr. Chaim Sussman, and by our youth committee lay leaders who meet with Chaim regularly to evaluate programs and protocols and develop best practices. Our youth leaders participate in an annual orientation program and a mandatory bi-annual Aleinu Safety Kid Program training.

With a committed and creative team of youth and lay leaders and our capable director, our youth department is innovatively educational, religiously inspiring and lots of fun!
