*Associate membership is for persons who live out-of-town or locals who have a full membership in another area synagogue (proof of full membership may be requested).

Building Fund

In addition to annual dues, full members have a $7,000 building fund obligation. Associate members not currently paying a pledge for a building fund at their primary shul have an obligation of $3,500. Single members pay $3,500. These obligations may be paid over 6 years. The obligation for new members starts in their second year.

**Kehilla Assessment

The Teaneck Mikvah serves the Teaneck, Bergenfield, and New Milford communities includes 18 preparation rooms, four Mikvaot, special handicap accessible facilities, an exclusive preparation room for brides, and a new Keylim Mikvah. A satellite mikvah a few blocks from Netivot Shalom has one immersion pool, five preparation rooms, and one waiting area, is used only on erev Shabbat and erev Yom Tov. The Teaneck-Bergenfield Area Eruv consists of two separate areas, North and South of Route 4. The two Eruvin are linked at specific locations by crossovers and is connected to the Englewood/Tenafly Eruv. To check whether the eruv is operational, a hotline is available on Friday afternoon, and there are red and green lights on the front of several Orthodox shuls in the Townhip. Both the Mikvah and the Eruv are partially funded through a “Kehilla model,” enabling access to a broader potential base of support. A $54 kehilla fee, constituting $36 for the Mikvah and $18 for the Eruv, is added to full/single members’ statements each year, and are passed on directly to the Mikvah and Eruv Associations. Local Associate Members pay this fee through their primary shul membership.

Financial Need

We are sensitive to the fact that some people may not have the financial resources to meet our membership obligations. If you would like to join our shul as a member, but have financial concerns about dues, building fund, payment schedules or other matters, please contact our president at the info@netivotshalomnj.com. All inquiries will remain confidential.

How to Pay.  Payments can be made online with a credit card or PayPal or by check (paper or electronic through your bank's online payment service). Checks can be mailed to the shul, or for faster processing, send them to Netivot Shalom, 811 Palisades Rd, Teaneck, NJ 07666. When using online payment, you have the option to add back the service fee charged by our bank to processing the payment as an additional donation to keep our costs down.
