A Message from Our Rabbi
Dear Netivot Family:
I hope everyone is well. It was truly wonderful to see so many people on Shabbat at shul, at the graduation kiddush and the laid back shul dinner this past Sunday evening. We missed those who were not able to join us. I encourage everyone who is able to and is in Teaneck over the summer, to join us for services and kiddush. It feels so energizing and reviving to see so many back in shul and engaged.
This coming Sunday afternoon, June 27, I will, please God, be leaving for a short solidarity and learning trip to Israel that I helped organize under the sponsorship of our local federation, with about 8 rabbis and 8 lay people from across the denominational spectrum. I am also pleased that the group will include four of our own members,
To that end I will be away from the shul on the mission until Friday, July 2 and then staying on for a few more days to visit with my son, Shlomi, who is finishing up his third year at Yeshivat Har Etzion (Shanah Gimmel was brought to us thanks to Covid that made the option of zooming in to freshman year in college from our basement not very appealing. I have not seen Shlomi in person for a year and a half.)
I hope, please God, to return on Thursday, July 8. During that week and half I can be reached via email for anything that is not urgent and will try to get back to you as soon as I am able. If you would like to speak directly with someone about a pastoral or halakhic issue you can contact our devorah Scholar, Rabbanit Jennifer Geretz at: jengeretz@gmail.com. For questions related to taharat hamishpacha you can always contact our yoetzet halakha, Tova Warburg Sinensky at: teaneckyoetzet@gmail .com. If there is a rabbinic emergency or immediate need for a communal rabbi, my dear colleague and friend, Rabbi Kenny Schiowitz, has graciously agreed to be available to our community to the best of his ability. He can be reached at: schiowitzk@gmail.com and his phone number is: 201-289-5774

Please join us to "clap them out."
Petition to Move Elections There is currently an non-partisan effort to push for changing Teaneck’s municipal elections from May to November. One main benefit to moving is that it significantly increases voter turnout, as seen with the recent School Board elections. View petition.
