Scholar In Residence: Yitzchak Etshalom
This Shabbat, June 24th, Rabbi Yitzchak Etshalom returns as a scholar in residence. Rabbi Etshalom is a dynamic educator in Los Angeles, an accomplished storyteller, radio host and songwriter, and the author of two books Between the Lines of the Bible editions 1 & 2. He will speak after kiddush.
Rabbi Helfgot's Sunday Morning Shiur
Rabbi Helfgot will resume Sunday shiurim on July 2 when he will give a 3 week series on the 3 haftarot between 17th of Tammuz and Tisha B'Av.
Scholar In Residence: Rabbi Benny Lau
Rabbi Dr. Benjamin Lau from Israel will be speaking at Netivot Shalom on July 8th. He is the rabbi of Jerusalem’s modern Orthodox Ramban Synagogue. Rav Benny taught in Beit Morasha of Jerusalem and served as the head of its Beit Midrash, with Rabbi Judah Brandes, from 1998 to 2012. During his tenure he founded and headed the Beit Midrash for Women’s Leadership at Beit Morasha. In 2013, Rav Benny began his work at the Israel Democracy Institute, as the overseer of the Human Rights and Judaism in Action Project.
