The shiur will be presented following Shaharit, this Shabbat, November 11th, on the topic "If you want to be happy for the rest of your life never make a pretty woman your wife? Finding meaning in the Imahot’s beauty."
This year's speaker is Rabbi Dr. Matisyahu Shulman. Rabbi Shulman is an addiction psychiatry fellow at Columbia University Medical Center and psychiatrist at Flat Rock Psychiatry in Teaneck.

The annual fundrasing dinner helps support the Women's Mikvah throughout the year. The evening will be highlighted with inspiring words by an inspiring woman, Chava Willig Levy, and will also include a special tribute to the Mikvah Staff. Sign up HERE for the dinner.
Round Robin Dinner
Join the Round Robin dinner on Saturday night, December 2nd. This is a great opportunity to mix and mingle with new and veteran community members.
For those who aren't familiar with the Round Robin rules, here's how it goes: Some people host appetizer, some host the main course. Guests are divided up into around 10-12 people per household and contribute a dish to one of their hosts or a dessert. (House & Food Assignments are sent 5 days before the event). Guests hop from House 1 (appetizer) to House 2 (main course) and then finally, we all gather together for Dessert.
Since this type of event takes a lot of time to organize, please submit this FORM by November 20th to sign up.
Focus Groups- Strategic Planning
Recognizing that we are rapidly outgrowing our current space, a group of community members initiated discussions around strategic planning to support the substantial growth. The purchase of 327 Cedar Lane expands the possibilities open to us for this planning and has given us the opportunity to formalize this strategic planning process.
The 5778 Netivot Shalom Strategic Planning Process will now not only develop a vision for our kehillah, but also determine how we will leverage our expanded property to our greatest advantage. Now is your opportunity to help shape the future of Netivot Shalom. Please join us in a focus group on either:
Sunday November 12, 8:00-9:30pm Sunday November 19, 8:00-9:30pm Tuesday, November 28, 8:00-9:30pm
Please sign up for a dateso that we can plan accordingly. Based on the results of the focus groups, we will follow with a strategic planning survey to further explore the kehillah’s vision for our future.
