We will be having a women's Torah reading this Shabbat November 18th, Parshat Toldot. 

Oneg for College Students

This coming week, we welcome back all the collegiates from our community who are coming home for Thanksgiving. We invite all the collegiates to a special Friday night oneg, Friday evening, November 24th @8pm at the Hikind home, 306 Frances Street, Teaneck. 

Round Robin Dinner

Join the Round Robin dinner on Saturday night, December 2nd.  This is a great opportunity to mix and mingle with new and veteran community members.
 
For those who aren't familiar with the Round Robin rules, here's how it goes:
Some people host appetizer, some host the main course. Guests are divided up into around 10-12 people per household and contribute a dish to one of their hosts or a dessert. (House & Food Assignments are sent 5 days before the event). Guests hop from House 1 (appetizer) to House 2 (main course) and then finally, we all gather together for Dessert.
 
Since this type of event takes a lot of time to organize, please submit this  FORM by November 20th to sign up.

Focus Groups- Strategic Planning 

The 5778 Netivot Shalom Strategic Planning Process is working to develop a vision for our kehillah and also determine how we will leverage our expanded property to our greatest advantage. Please join us in a focus group on either:

Sunday November 19, 8:00-9:30pm
Tuesday, November 28, 8:00-9:30pm
 
Please sign up for a date  so that we can plan accordingly. Based on the results of the focus groups, we will follow with a strategic planning survey to further explore the kehillah’s vision for our future.

Women's Hat Sale

Hat Sale for Women by Penny Klein Millinery to benefit Rabbi Helfgot's discretionary fund will take place on Monday, November 27th from 7 - 10pm at the Mouldovan residence, 501 Claremont Avenue, Teaneck. Please visit the Etsy store to preview the designs. 

Shabbat Meals Hospitality 

Hospitality update:  If you are willing to host people visiting our community who may need a meal or a place to stay for a Shabbat or Yom Tov, please email your contact info to Alan Schwartz (amschwartz46@gmail.com).

Bergen County Toy Drive

The deadline for the Bergen County Chanukah Toy Drive, which services 20 charities is December 5th! Since Chanukah is early this year, please consider taking advantage of Black Friday sales in purchasing toys for this year's drive. If getting to the stores is difficult, feel free to order online and have it shipped to our drop off location.

Please drop off or ship your donations to the Cohen Residence - 914 Ridgeway Street, Teaneck, from now until December 5th.

CSS Team

Thank you to the CSS team of Lew Michelson, Dena Ressler, and Jonathan Dauber for providing security during Shabbat morning services. 

CSS is always looking for more volunteers. There is a Level 1 Training starting in early December, please contact Lew Michelson .

Youth Kiddush
