Taharat Mishpacha Refresher Series

Taharat HaMishpacha Refresher Classes Continue

Women of the community are welcome to join Yoetzet Halacha Shoshana Samuels in a review of the foundations and practicalities of the laws of Jewish family life. The course will include source-study, real-life scenarios and discussion of the unique ways these laws affect our lives and relationships.

Focus Groups- Strategic Planning 

The 5778 Netivot Shalom Strategic Planning Process is working to develop a vision for our kehillah and also determine how we will leverage our expanded property to our greatest advantage. The final focus group will take place on: 

Tuesday, November 28, 8:00-9:30pm
 
Please sign up  so that we can plan accordingly. Based on the results of the focus groups, we will follow with a strategic planning survey to further explore the kehillah’s vision for our future.

Women's Hat Sale 

Hat Sale for Women by Penny Klein Millinery to benefit Rabbi Helfgot's discretionary fund will take place on Monday, November 27th from 7 - 10pm at the Mouldovan residence, 501 Claremont Avenue, Teaneck. Please visit the Etsy store to preview the designs.

Bergen County Toy Drive

The deadline for the Bergen County Chanukah Toy Drive, which services 20 charities is December 5th! Since Chanukah is early this year, please consider taking advantage of Black Friday sales in purchasing toys for this year's drive. If getting to the stores is difficult, feel free to order online and have it shipped to our drop off location.

Please drop off or ship your donations to the Cohen Residence - 914 Ridgeway Street, Teaneck, from now until December 5th.

CSS Team

Thank you to the CSS team of Richard Goldberger, Jesse Leon, and Johanna Samad for providing security during Shabbat morning services.

The next Motzei Shabbat Family Learning program will take place on December 9th. This program will take place every other Motzei Shabbat approximately 45 minutes after havdalah until the end of February.

The next Family Minyan will be on Sunday, December 17th at 9am. 

In Our Community

12/3 - LIGHTS! A winter concert celebrating Chanukah and more sung by the Shirah Community Choir at the JCC on the Palisades on Sunday, Dec. 3  at 2:00 P.M.   Shirah is led by conductor Marsha Bryan Edelman.  Tickets cost $16 and $20.  The concert will be followed by a dessert reception.
