Project Venus
Through February 25th - Project Venus is collecting feminine hygiene products for women in need. PV organizes drives for donations of items at local libraries, grocery stores, and even nail salons. Once we have collected a decent amount of donations, we organize the donations into feminine hygiene kits that can support a women through the month. Kits often consist of pads, tampons, liners and occasionally magazines (a luxury item) when donated by local doctors offices. Once packaged and sealed, the kits are delivered to Oasis Haven for Women and Children, a non-profit community center in Paterson, NJ. The kits are used by women that would otherwise not have access to feminine hygiene products. Salaam Shalom (Jewish/Muslim social action group) is hosting a drive to help Aisha Ali with her efforts. If you'd like to be involved, can you please gather the items above and contact Susan Berger at alsus131@gmail.com.
