Kibbudim Class for Women
Have you wanted to carry the Torah in shul but don't know how to hold it? Have you wanted to come up for an aliyah at a women's reading but are not familiar with the process or the blessings? Have you wanted to recite the prayer for the IDF but don't the words well enough to feel comfortable?
We are pleased to invite you to our class on Women's Kibbudim Sunday September 16 at 7pm. We will have access to a Torah and will offer guidance on the proper way to carry and pass the Torah scroll. We will also review the procedure for receiving an aliya and the text of the prayer for the IDF. This will be a fully participatory class so each attendee can practice in the sanctuary to feel more comfortable accepting a Kibbud.
Lulav and etrog sets are on sale for $40 and can be picked up at the home of Pam Scheininger and Joe Spraragen, 445 Sagamore Ave, on Saturday night, September 22 from 8:15pm - 10:00pm.. The firm deadline for ordering sets is Tuesday, September 18. Orders can be placed via this LINK.
Yoetzet Halacha Kiddush & Shiur
Next Shabbat, September 22nd, Netivot Shalom will be hosting a kiddush in honor of Yoetzet Halalcha, Tova Warburg Sinensky. Tova will be giving a shiur after tefilla.
Netivot Shalom Sukkah Building

Open Hut with the Helfgots
Save the Date: Rachel Brenner and Rabbi Helfgot invite the entire community to their "open hut" dessert on Monday, Sept 24th, the first day of Sukkot, from 2:00pm - 3:30 pm at their home, 740 Palmer Ave.

Mitzvah Cards
Netivot Shalom Mitzvah Cards are a meaningful way to express mazal tov, congratulations or condolences. Mitzvah Cards are $18 each. The shul will mail them to your recipent, making them an easy and convenient way to recognize special occasions while supporting Netivot Shalom.
If you know of a new family moving into the neighborhood, please let Doni Moskovits know so the Membership Committee can deliver a welcome basket.

Youth Group Annoucement
We have restructured the youth groups to provide a better flow and experience for everyone. The schedule along with important safety information can be found on the Youth Program page on the Netivot Shalom website. The new group schedule will start after Labor Day.
