Rabbi Helfgot's Neveim Shiur - Following Shacharit (The shiur will not be repeated this week on Wednesday night.)
Please Note: 1. Please note that with the change in the clock two weeks ago, Shabbat now begins extremely early for the next three months. Please give yourself extra time to leave work in time to arrive home with enough breathing room to avoid putting yourself in the "danger zone".
2. Please note that as an added measure of safety for the times when we don't have CSS patrols, the front doors of the shul will be locked 10 minutes after the scheduled time for Mincha on Friday afternoon and on Shabbat afternoon. Those who come after that time will need to knock to be let in. The doors will automatically lock on Sunday morning at 8:08 Am, 8 minutes after the scheduled time for our Sunday morning shaharit.

Rabbinic Intern Visit
This Shabbat, November 17th, our Rabbinic Intern Marianne Novak will be visiting us. The title of her Drasha is "How Rachel and Leah, their relationship and their descendants are a template for entire Jewish history: מעשה אמהות סימן לבנים--The Actions of the Mothers are a symbol to the sons".
Marianne will also be giving a shiur for girls in grades 5-8 on Shabbat afternoon at 3:40pm titled "Rachel and Leah- Best Sisters or not?".
Mitzvah Day Collection
For the Jewish Federation of Northern New Jersey’s Mitzvah Day, on November 18th, Netivot Shalom will be participating in two collections. The first is for new, unopened puzzles—for ages 8 to 98—to be distributed to patients at the Carrier Clinic for Behavioral Healthcare & Addiction Treatment in Belle Meade, NJ. The second is for children’s clothing in good condition to be sent to Yad Leah for distribution to needy communities in Israel.
Debra and Jon Passner have volunteered their back porch, 563 Cumberland Avenue, as a drop-off site. For more information, contact Sarah Dauber or Sima Kern.
You also can join JFNNJ for Mitzvah Day on November 18. Contact Beth Figman of JFNNJ, bethf@jfnnj.org , (201) 820-3947.
26th Annual Bergen County Toy Drive
Our shul is once again participating in The 26th Annual Bergen County Chanukah Toy Drive. We are collecting new and unwrapped toys and gifts for children and young adults going through trying times. Please drop off your donations at the Cohen Residence, 914 Ridgeway St., Teaneck, from now until Friday, November 23rd. The Bergen County Toy Drive is a great collaborative effort across many Bergen County Jewish Schools, Synagogues and Temples and donates to 18 different charity organizations. Your donations will help us share the excitement of Chanukah with thousands of children and young adults. This is a great opportunity to involve your children in the mitzvah of tzedakah!
Mitzvah Cards
Netivot Shalom Mitzvah Cards are a meaningful way to express mazal tov, congratulations or condolences. Mitzvah Cards are $18 each. The shul will mail them to your recipent, making them an easy and convenient way to recognize special occasions while supporting Netivot Shalom.
Sponsorships for a youth department Kiddush with special snacks are available for $36! Kiddush sponsorships are for children's birthday and special events (like a sports victory or school award) only. We continue to count on our adults to celebrate their accomplishments through sponsorship of shul-wide kiddush. Click here to Sponsor .
