Kiddush
There is no kiddush the first two days of Pesach. On the last days of Pesach, in keeping with our existing practice, we will be having a potluck kiddush.
Parents: you are responsible for making sure your children respect the shul and clean up after themselves.

CPR Course
Netivot Shalom is pleased to offer a CPR course on Sunday, May 5th from 7:00pm to 10:00pm.
This course includes adult, child, and infant CPR. If your CPR skills are rusty, this is a great opportunity to review.

Youth Director Position
Netivot Shalom is looking for a dynamic part-time Youth Director to expand, enrich, and coordinate Shabbat, holiday and special programming. The Youth Director works with the Youth Committee to organize special activities and innovative programs for youth from nursery through high school. The Director coordinates and oversees youth groups on Shabbat and holidays, trains group leaders to effectively implement programming in groups, and supervises group leaders.
Ideal candidate would have some experience developing programs for kids and teens. Teaching experience is a plus, but not a must. Must have an abundance of creative ideas and excellent follow-through. We are looking to hire someone to begin Fall 2019. This could be a long term opportunity for the right candidate. Nominations are open for the following board positions: President, VP Operations,VP Programming, Treasurer, and two general board positions. The Big Bread Burn at the Jewish Center
The 10th Annual Big Bread Burn at the Jewish Center of Teaneck will take place on Friday, April 19, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. The Amsel Big Bread Burn is in loving memory of Elizabeth Sher.
The Teaneck Fire Department will have fire trucks in the Jewish Center parking lot for a photo op for all the kids who come to burn their little bags of chametz. White fire chief hats and Streits kosher-for-Passover lollipops will be given out to all children. Co-sponsors are Chabad of Teaneck, Congregation Beth Aaron, Congregation Ohr Saadyah, Netivot Shalom, Rinat Yisrael, Sha’arei Orah, Young Israel of Teaneck, Gan Yavneh and Heichal HaTorah.

Tomchei Shabbos of Bergen County is once again collecting your free 5 pound packages of matzo at 421 Churchill Rd, Teaneck (side room by the driveway. )
Tour of Metropolitan Museum of Art History Exhibit
Join Frisch School History Department Co-Chair Eitan Kastner for a tour of the Metropolitan Museum of Art's new exhibit "The World Between Empires: Art and Identity in the Ancient Middle East. This 90 minute tour will explore artifacts that shed light on the Jewish world from the Bar Kokhba revolt, to the first synagogues, to the writing of the Mishna. In commemoration of the Yom Hazikaron/Yom Haatzmaut community wide program to be held at the Jewish Center of Teaneck on May 8, a community wide learning of Mishna and siyum for all the fallen soldiers of the IDF and the victims of terror is being held. Mental Health and Addiction Symposium

We welcome any family member with a loved one suffering from addiction and substance abuse issues to our local support group, which meets every other Wednesday evening in Teaneck.
