Teaneck Mikvah Event Celebrating 10 Years All women are invited to the Annual Teaneck Mikvah Dinner on Nov. 20 at 7:30 PM at Congregation Keter Torah. Renee Blumenfeld and Adeena Mayerfeld will be receiving Service Awards. Judith W. Rubin will give a speech entitled, “Count Your Blessings 100 Times a Day.” Register. Mitzvah Day Toiletries Collections For the Jewish Federation of Northern New Jersey's annual Mitzvah Day on November 24th, Netivot Shalom will be collecting new and unopened, travel-sized toiletries for area shelters and food banks. Donations may be dropped off through November 22nd at the home of Sima & Jeff Kern, 119 Bennett Road.
Clothing Swap In an effort to become more environmentally conscious this holiday season, Netivot Shalom will be hosting a pre-Chanukkah clothing swap for men, women, & children's clothing as well as children's books. The fashion industry is responsible for 20% of the world's carbon emissions, and thrift shopping is one of the leading ways we as a community can do our part to lower our carbon footprint. Ezer Mizion Evening of Heroes Ezer Mizion, the world’s largest Jewish bone marrow registry, will host its Evening of Heroes for the Teaneck, Bergenfield, and New Milford communities on Saturday, November 9, at Congregation Keter Torah in Teaneck.
