Parsha Chabura on Nov. 22nd Come one, come all to a parsha chabura hosted by Imu and Davina Shalev on Friday night, November 22nd at 105 Cherry Lane, beginning at 7:45pm.The chabura will be a collective learning experience: guided but informal, spirited but respectful, meaningful but fun. And there will be snacks that you may or may not pick at, despite having already eaten a big meal (no judgments). Teaneck Mikvah Event Celebrating 10 Years All women are invited to the Annual Teaneck Mikvah Dinner on Nov. 20 at 7:30 PM at Congregation Keter Torah. Renee Blumenfeld and Adeena Mayerfeld will be receiving Service Awards. Judith W. Rubin will give a speech entitled, “Count Your Blessings 100 Times a Day.” Register. Shana Dworken is organizing a table. If you would like to sit with other women from Netivot Shalom, indicate Netivot Shalom table in the request box and let Shana know you are going.
Mitzvah Day Toiletries Collections For the Jewish Federation of Northern New Jersey's annual Mitzvah Day on November 24th, Netivot Shalom will be collecting new and unopened, travel-sized toiletries for area shelters and food banks. Donations may be dropped off through November 22nd at the home of Sima & Jeff Kern, 119 Bennett Road.
Clothing Swap In an effort to become more environmentally conscious this holiday season, Netivot Shalom will be hosting a pre-Chanukkah clothing swap for men's, women's, & children's clothing as well as children's books. The fashion industry is responsible for 20% of the world's carbon emissions, and thrift shopping is one of the leading ways we as a community can do our part to lower our carbon footprint.
