Rabbanit Jennifer Kotzker Geretz is a full-time Jewish chaplain at St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston who received ordination from Yeshivat Maharat in June, 2020. Jennifer grew up in Pensacola, Florida and moved to New Jersey after her graduation from Brandeis University in 1990. A co-founder of East Brunswick's Yeshivat Netivot Montessori,  Jennifer serves Congregation Netivot Shalom as a JOFA Devora Scholar  in addition to her chaplaincy work.  Jennifer lives in West Orange with husband Rabbi Daniel Geretz and their family. .

Rabbanit Geretz  joins us one Shabbat per month, with plans to increase as we (iy”H) increase in-person activities over the coming months.  Rabbanit Geretz, in consultation with Rabbi Helfgot, lay leaders, and members, will develop and lead educational and other programs on Shabbat and during the week.  She also works to provide vision and strategy for programming infrastructure for adults and children. Rabbanit Geretz also provides counseling and pastoral support for members throughout the lifecycle.

We are grateful that this position was made possible by the Jewish Orthodox Feminist Alliance thanks to the generosity of Ann and Jeremy Pava, trustees of Micah Philanthropies and donors within our community who have provided additional funding.
